BOSTON—March 16, 2023—Bain & Company announced today that Greg Schooley has joined the firm as a senior partner in its industry-leading Private Equity practice. Based in Bain’s New York office, he will lead the Private Equity practice’s Operational Diligence and Value Creation team. This team advises major private equity investors on the current and future profit potential of new investment opportunities as well as existing portfolio companies. This unrivaled client support will be deeply integrated with Bain’s long-established commercial diligence services.

Prior to joining Bain, Greg led the Value Creation practice at another business consulting firm for over six years, during which time the group grew from roughly 15 to 150 professionals. Greg leverages over 30 years of experience in strategy consulting, private equity investing and operational roles. He has advised top private equity funds on several hundred transactions and portfolio company value creation efforts. Joining as a senior member of Bain’s Private Equity practice, Greg will advise global investment firms on operational due diligence and post-close value creation programs across sectors. His team’s mandate will include leveraging the differentiated operational improvement capabilities that Bain offers across many practices for the firm’s private equity clients and their portfolio companies.

Greg holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
