The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
Who you will work with
The M&A Practice is responsible for supporting M&A & Divestitures transformation or transaction, and broader set of capabilities like Merger Integration programs include customer/growth work, operations/cost work, and program management, providing client delivery support to our Bain teams and clients, and running our internal practice operations.
What you’ll do
The M&A Practice Manager (or equivalent) plays a critical role in supporting global initiatives to grow and strengthen the M&A and Divestitures practice, execute on the regional strategy for the practice, including engaging regional affiliates and experts and supporting the regional client enablement agendas. This will include being actively involved in managing the regional interlocks, understanding regional and local expertise, providing input on staffing where needed, and serving as a resource for proposals and client development for priority accounts.
Essential Functions :
- Shape and execute APAC M&A commercial strategy and operations.
Collaborate with APAC Regional Practice Leader to set overall regional strategy to grow the M&A business at industry, country, and priority account level. Support commercial operations including proactive client development, key account management, opportunity management, and direct proposal support on select opportunities. Build our brand in-region via prioritized forums/collateral/marketing. Build community of engaged affiliates and experts.
- Manage Merger Integration Solution & products
Develop and deliver differentiated solution offerings and perspectives for Merger Integrations. Develop a deep understanding of client needs and product roadmap, support innovation in POV, analytical insights, digital/AI tools and delivery model. Selectively support commercial opportunities, proposals and case team mobilization for relevant projects.
- Inspire and coach practice team
Support individual skill and career development for direct reports. Act as local team leader, facilitating team engagement and development
About you
Education
Degree level and area of specialization needed for the performance of this role’s Essential Functions - preferred MBA
Experience (Include the required number of years of overall experience as well as years of experience in a particular function (if applicable).
Required
- Current or recent Bain consulting experience at the consultant or manager level, or the equivalent at another consulting company
- 5-8 years' overall work experience
Preferred
- Projects work experience, including technology know-how
