Peter Hanbury is a member of the firm's Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) and Performance Improvement practices, and the leader of the Manufacturing Excellence practice in the Americas.

With over 20 years at Bain, Peter has worked in our Bay Area, Boston, and Stockholm offices, supporting clients across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions

Within the technology sector, Peter works with clients in tech hardware, data centers and semiconductors, advising on operational excellence, strategy, sustainability, and cost transformations. He holds deep expertise in semiconductor manufacturing, as well as technology supply chains and supplier ecosystems.

As leader of our Americas Manufacturing Excellence practice, Peter works across manufacturing-focused industries, including tech, industrials, MedTech, consumer packaged goods, and energy. His experience encompasses the full breadth of manufacturing and related topics, including planning, procurement, four-wall manufacturing, re-shoring, forward/reverse logistics, information technology (IT) and research and development (R&D), as well as digital and advanced analytic enablers.

Peter also supports Bain’s work for financial sponsors on topics in the technology and manufacturing spaces.

Peter graduated from Dartmouth College cum laude with a degree in economics and government. He also earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters skiing, hiking, biking and otherwise enjoying the great outdoors.
