Mariana Zaparolli Martins

Mariana Zaparolli leads the Agile practice in South America and is a member of our Organization practice.

Mariana actively participates in Digital and Agile transformations across the financial services, insurance, transportation, healthcare, consumer goods, and retail industries. She is also heavily involved in building agile operating models, working with organizational design, portfolio governance, budget processes, talent, incentive models, tracking results (eg OKRs, efficiency and effectiveness metrics) and ways of working.

She has deep, hands-on experience in organizational agility. Mariana led changes to address the transformation challenges of a large and traditional Brazilian bank, as well as led the construction of portfolio management governance and redesigned the agile operating model for a highly successful fintech in Brazil before and after its IPO.

Mariana actively participates in our internal development of Agility, both by practicing Agile and through training and support for internal teams.

She has collectively spent 15 years in software development and more than eight years in organizational agility.

Mariana holds a Master's in Computer Science and post-graduation degree in banking systems. She also trained in leading teams for growth and change at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.

She is a certified Product Owner and Scrum Master, as well as in Kanban, Management 3.0, Agile Facilitation, Agile at Scale, and Agile Practitioning by the Project Management Institute.

Outside of her role at Bain, she is an active participant in agility communities, sharing experiences and learning through debates, talks and content creation.
