Ernst van Duijn

Ernst brings more than 25 years of experience in senior management positions across four continents – Europe, the Middle East, AsiaPac and Americas – with a proven track record to drive analytics & digital transformation with multiple corporates.

At Bain & Company, he leads our Advanced Analytics Group in EMEA supporting companies in the energy, utility, oil & gas and mining sectors.

Prior to joining Bain, Ernst was a partner at two other consulting firms, was a strategy director at a European energy giant and — together with leading professors in AI in Oxford and Cambridge — he founded a predictive analytics business.

To deliver financial and operational results to the bottom line with his clients, Ernst has a hands-on approach combined with a solid multi-lingual ability to build long-term relationships at all levels across his clients' organisations.

He holds an executive MBA degree from the University of Michigan and a PhD in theoretical physics from the Free University of Amsterdam. His PhD research was published in Science, the premier global science journal.
