Derek Riesenberg

Derek Riesenberg is a partner in our Private Equity and Healthcare practices, based in Boston.

Over his 15+ years as a consultant, Derek has focused on growth strategy and transactions involving companies in the life sciences ecosystem that fuel the research, development and commercialization of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

He most recently led another top firm's U.S. life sciences practice across private equity and corporate clients, building its operations and client-facing strategies in the sector. While there, he led over 100 commercial diligence engagements spanning CROs, central and specialized testing labs, CDMOs, outsourced medical, regulatory and commercialization services, life science tools and Pharma IT solutions (eClinical, RWD/RWE, analytics).

Derek also previously worked at a boutique life sciences consultancy serving biopharma companies on issues related to pricing, market access and brand strategy.

He holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Boston University.

In his personal time, Derek enjoys skiing, mountain biking and spending time on the ocean with his wife and four children.
