Black at Bain
Black at Bain
Black at Bain (BAB) is a dynamic community for Bain professionals of African, African-American, Black, and Caribbean descent across the diaspora. Our programming focuses on mentorship, expanding your network, and preparing for growth by providing support to create pathways for success inside Bain.
A core piece of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Bain has been investing in diversity, equity, and inclusion for more than 30 years. Beginning with our early affinity communities, we have expanded into a wide range of comprehensive programs to create a culture of inclusion where every Bainie can thrive.
Black at Bain provides members an added layer of tailored support and a space to form meaningful relationships, drive connectivity, and build community. While we take pride in the deep bonds created within Black at Bain, we also build connections with other affinity groups and share about the diversity of Black culture with the broader firm.
“I reach out to our Black at Bain community to navigate big life events, tricky situations on a case, or thinking about my broader ambitions. They’re my cheerleaders.”

Providing an added layer of belonging and support
We provide mentorship and ensure every individual has the right network of support to thrive and succeed.
We promote experience sharing within the Black community and with other affinity groups.
We create space to have fun and build community.
Building community through summits, celebrations, and events
We gather to celebrate our community, make connections, and build personal skills.
We hold events and celebrations for cultural moments such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Black History Month, and Juneteenth, sharing stories and highlighting members of the Black community.
Every office with a Black at Bain group has its own fun local events, panel discussions, dinners, alumni gatherings, and more.
