Steve Young

Steve Young is an expert in the firm’s Advanced Manufacturing & Services practice.

Steve’s sector expertise encompasses a broad range of industrials verticals, including machinery, equipment, systems and controls, building and industrial products and tools, security equipment and services. He is also deeply versed in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), flexible packaging manufacturing and aerospace and defense parts and systems suppliers.  

His core capabilities include strategy, sustained cost transformation, supply chain reinvention, merger integration management office (IMO), zero based redesign (ZBR), commercial excellence and value creation plan development.

Prior to joining Bain in 2010, Steve served as a captain in the US Army, with combat deployment to Iraq.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
