Monica has extensive experience advising leading multinational and local companies in the food, beverage, personal care, and restaurant sectors, helping them design consumer-centric strategies and win in highly competitive markets. With a deep understanding of both global best practices and the nuances of the Chinese market, Monica partners with clients to drive transformational change and unlock new avenues for sustainable growth.
Her expertise spans end-to-end growth strategy and business model transformation, from defining long-term strategic roadmaps to optimizing commercial capabilities. She has led major route-to-market (RTM) redesigns, helping brands enhance distribution efficiency and salesforce effectiveness. She also works closely with executives on international expansion, guiding market entry strategies, operational structuring, and localization approaches to ensure long-term success in new geographies.
Beyond her client work, Monica is passionate about mentoring young professionals and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. She actively leads Bain Shanghai’s connectivity events and encourages a vibrant office environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute and thrive.
Monica holds a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
