Bain & Company New York set to move into iconic Midtown tower

NEW YORKMay 12, 2024—Bain & Company, in partnership with Milstein Properties, announced today its New York office will relocate to one of Midtown’s most iconic towers, 22 Vanderbilt, in 2026.

“Bain & Company is delighted to announce our upcoming move to 22 Vanderbilt, one of the most amenitized and convenient buildings in New York,” said Allison Gans, co-managing partner of Bain New York. “Our New York office has grown exponentially over the last several years, and the way we work has changed since the pandemic. 22 Vanderbilt gives us the opportunity to create a space that works for 2030 and beyond, enabling us to co-create with our clients and to better collaborate as teams. What we’re most excited about is the ability to partner with our team to design a space that suits our current and future ways of working.”

Bain & Company joins a list of several top-tier professional and financial services firms that will be moving into 22 Vanderbilt.

“Milstein Properties is thrilled to welcome Bain & Company to 22 Vanderbilt,” said Damon Lopez-O’Dwyer, Chief Operating Officer, Milstein Companies. "The building’s success and leasing momentum underscore its reputation as the premier destination for businesses seeking the competitive advantage of offering an incomparable daily experience. 22 Vanderbilt sets a new standard for the modern office, delivering high-design amenities and a full-service hospitality program with direct access to Grand Central Terminal.”

Recently, Milstein Properties completed a full-scale redevelopment of 22 Vanderbilt led by the world-renowned architecture and design firm SHoP Architects. The modernization program featured comprehensive upgrades to the building’s structural and mechanical systems as well as the introduction of over 275,000 square feet of amenities, including: the redesigned Palm Court lobby set beneath the building’s signature 29-story central atrium; The Terrace, a block-long outdoor landscaped deck overlooking Grand Central Terminal; and The Conference Center, a state-of-the-art venue with double-height ceilings and Gensler-designed meetings spaces for guest speakers, board meetings, and multi-day events with an in-house production studio for tenant content creation, including podcasts and video.

22 Vanderbilt offers tenants a full-service, in-house hospitality team that manages events, catering, and programming. The building offers three new dining options: The Clock, a specialty coffee shop in the lobby, Bergamo’s, a cocktail lounge, and The Melangerie, an all-day three-story dining hall with an array of chef-driven concepts.

Bain was represented by John Maher, Chris Corrinet, and Paul Myers at CBRE. Milstein Properties was represented by Paul Amrich, Neil King, Jeffrey Fischer, Sacha Zarba, and Meghan Allen at CBRE, as well as Duncan McCuaig, David Caperna, and PJ Massey of Brookfield Properties.
