Emily Emmett is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources (ENR) practice. 

Emily has deep expertise in operating model and previously served as the global leader of Bain’s Operating Model solution. She works with clients across the oil & gas, utilities, and industrial sectors to evolve their strategy and operating model to capture new opportunity and thrive through disruption and uncertainty. She brings a pragmatic lens to translating strategy into results. 

Emily has led a wide range of projects, with an emphasis on growth strategy, operating model design and implementation, and capital deployment. In addition to more than a decade of experience working with senior corporate leaders, Emily also has extensive experience working with private equity investors on strategic due diligence and portfolio shaping. Throughout her career, she has led the diligence of more than 50 energy and industrial assets.

Within Bain, Emily leads the firm’s people development initiatives for the ENR practice and Bain’s Texas offices. 

Emily graduated with high honors from Rice University and also holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. She serves on the boards of Tex-E, a nonprofit supporting energy and climate entrepreneurs, and the Houston Botanic Garden. In her free time, she enjoys interior design and gardening. She and her husband have three children.
