Mike McKay is a leader in the Bain's Private Equity practice.
Mike has more than 30 years of consulting experience with Bain and is a founding partner of Bain's Private Equity Group. He has extensive experience working with investment funds on strategic due diligence.
In addition to his client work, Mike serves as director of three private equity backed companies: Construction Partners, Inc., a company consolidating the asphalt paving industry, Big Outdoor, an outdoor advertiser, and Hubbardton Forge, a premium lighting fixture company. He is also a Senior Lecturer at Brandeis University, where he teaches MBA classes in Private Equity and Security Analysis.
Mike previously spent five years as a principal investor. He was the Managing Partner at Results Capital, a long-short public equity investment fund, and served as Chief Investment Officer of Portfolio Logic LLC, a DC-based investment fund.
Mike earned his MBA from from the University of Chicago, where he received the Mayer Prize as the top graduating student and the Brown Prize as the top marketing student. He received his BA in Economics magna cum laude from Harvard College.
Prior to his study at Chicago, Mike worked as project development analyst for Harvard University's planning group and as a client service consultant for Dun & Bradstreet.
