I joined Bain after graduating from the University of Toronto. At the time, I did not have a clear idea of what I wanted to achieve in my career, but I knew that consulting was a very good starting point for me to find my path. I am very interested in ESG, especially sustainability and women's empowerment, and I want to do my part in making a change for the better.

Why did you decide to join Bain?

One of the main reasons I chose Bain was because I empathized with the culture. I attended the 2020 online recruiting event and remember that the Bain speakers were not just colleagues, but friends with each other. I also felt the friendly nature of the employees and their support for my growth throughout the interview process. My experience at Bain was not the smoothest, but I was able to receive generous support from mentors and advisors when I needed it. The Bain culture is represented by the phrase "A Bainie never lets another Bainie fail" and I was able to experience this culture firsthand.

Describe your experience as a member or ally of affinity groups.

I am a member of W@B (Womxn at Bain). Being a member of this group has allowed me to connect with similar minded individuals who all want to support each other and all women, make the workplace more equal, and overall strive to make the office a better place for women and for everyone. I have really found in this group people that I trust to confide in and would go to for advice, not only about case work but about topics that are more personal. I would describe the experience of being a part of W@B as inspiring, as it makes you feel like you are actually striving to make a change for the better.

Tell us the Bain project you were involved in that makes you the proudest.

The project I am most proud of was a sustainability fund strategy case we worked with a private equity firm. We helped our client in coming up with the design and investment strategy for a new sustainability fund they were planning on creating. I am proud of this case, not only because I felt like I was able to contribute not only to our client, but also because we were able to be a part of something that I genuinely believe will have a great positive impact on society and the environment.
