Job Summary 

Under the objective of enhancing Bain's brand recognition and strengthening its branding to support the acquisition of new cases and clients, this role involves planning, executing, and managing public relations and marketing activities aligned with the priorities of Bain globally and the Japan office. Specific responsibilities include below under the supervision of the senior marketing members: 

  • Article editing, branding, and creative production with the creative team
  • Support executing press interview
  • Event execution
  • Customer data management and utilization
  • Digital marketing support
  • Support the Initiatives to maintain relationships with alumni (former Bain employees)

The role also involves: 

  • Providing ongoing marketing support to all key stakeholders
  • Collaborating with global and Japan members to achieve Bain’s comprehensive marketing and public relations goals
  • Tracking marketing and public relations KPIs and performance, while supporting the continuous improvement and innovation of marketing tools and processes

Key Responsibilities 

  • Marketing and Public Relations Execution
    • Execute marketing and PR activities tailored to the Japanese market. 
  • Monitor market trends to understand the market needs for adequate PR activities
  • Liaise with media outlets and journalists under the supervisions of the senior members
  • Work directly with the PR agencies to boost media exposure through planning and coordination.
  • Content Management
    • Edit, proofread, and adapt translated content for Japanese audiences, ensuring alignment with market needs.
    • Distribute and adjust business IPs (Intellectual Properties) for increased local visibility in partnership with agencies/providers.
    • Support developing market-specific content, including press releases, video content, and PR materials.
  • Client Data Management
    • Extract and utilize information from customer databases for PR activities.
    • Maintain and update the database with local press contacts and influencers.
  • Digital Marketing
    • Manage and update Bain’s Japanese website.
    • Create, manage, and distribute localized digital content.
  • Event Execution
    • Execute events hosted by Bain or co-hosted with publishers, collaborating closely with the team.
  • Alumni Engagement
    • Execute alumni events to strengthen engagement with Bain alumni.
  • Collaboration with Global Teams
    • Work with global marketing teams to ensure alignment and coherence of strategies, contributing to Bain’s overall marketing goals.
  • Performance Tracking and Innovation
  • Monitor marketing and PR KPIs, leveraging the PDCA cycle to maximize outcomes.
  • Propose and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of marketing tools and processes.

Qualifications 

  • University Bachelor’s degree or higher. Preferred: Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related marketing specialty.
  • At least 4 years of experience in public relations (PR), with additional marketing experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in related marketing fields such as
    • Content development, editing, and proofreading for media exposure.
    • Communicating with the press for interviews etc. 
    • Supporting or executing events.
  • Resilience under pressure, with the ability to remain calm and distinguish between factual and emotional factors when addressing challenges. A proactive mindset for proposing new approaches and solutions.
