WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM 


The HRBP, Global Human Resources will serve as HR generalist for various departments within the Capability Delivery Solutions and Private Equity functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for employee relations, talent strategy, performance management, compensation, operational support, and more. They will help to develop and drive consistent, effective HR policies and talent management programs, collaborating closely with the business lines on professional development, learning/training and employee engagement. 


WHAT YOU’LL DO

Serve as the HR Business Partner for allocated departments within Capability Delivery Solutions and Private Equity functions:

  • Be on point for the customer group employee lifecycle, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, policy interpretation, risk management, professional development and employee services.
  • Liaise regularly with leadership team, employees, and leadership teams. Develop strong and productive working relationships/high levels of communication with key stakeholders; become known as the “go to” person for all HR needs for the functions.
  • Provide thought partnership to leadership on talent issues impacting customer group, e.g. employee engagement, organization and role design, etc.
  • Exercise discretion and business judgment to manage all employee relations issues, including performance concerns, team conflicts, grievances, investigations, accommodations, and other matters.
  • With guidance from Global HR Program team and support from Specialist, lead efficient and effective performance review and compensation review processes.
  • Train and develop program management team on best practices for risk management, performance management, and facilitating difficult conversations.
  • Work with the employee relations and in-house legal teams to educate/advise management as necessary; playa leadership role in investigations and resulting decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Business and Experienced Talent Recruiting to support hiring needs and effective on-boarding and integration processes.
  • Collaborate with global compensation team on compensation needs for the function, including educating line managers and employees on Bain’s compensation philosophy and relevant compensation structures.
  • Be a champion and thought partner to drive DEI initiatives within CDS and Private Equity.
  • Manage, coach and develop direct report.

Actively contribute to the broader Global HR team:

  • Liaise regularly with other HR Business Partners/HR generalists within the Global Talent Management team to ensure consistency and sharing of best practices
  • Participate in project teams by supporting roll-out and repeatability efforts, population analysis, and cross-office/functional coordination.

ABOUT YOU


Education


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience is required


Experience 


Required

  • Minimum 5-8 years of professional work experience in HR
  • Minimum 5 years direct employee relations experience in a professional organization

Preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist/Business Partner

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, discretion, and creativity in changing needs and situations
  • Significant experience in employee relations with proven record of mitigating employee risk
  • Experience working in a matrix environment where collaboration is key in providing exceptional results
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with strong organization skills - ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Demonstrated success acting as management advisor in areas involving complex employee issues (e.g., performance/employee relations/organizational issues)
  • Success working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Willingness to participate on calls across time zones as needed
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Some travel required (estimated to be once or twice yearly)


U.S. Compensation Information

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below). 


Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:  


In New York City, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $119,500- $144,000 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level 


In California state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $110,000 - $144,000 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level 


In Washington state and Washington D.C, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $110,000 - $132,500 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level 


For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level 


Annual discretionary performance bonus  


This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
