WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

 The Director / Senior Director sits at the nexus of several important relationships – with the Regional Managing Partner and the APAC servant leader team (Office Heads, Practice Leaders, Functional Leaders); local offices and in particular HRVPs and HRDs/HRMs; and global talent CoEs

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM: 

The ‘Director / Senior Director, APAC Human Resources’ sits in the Office of the Regional Managing Partner and oversees all topics related to human resources and talent operations. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Serve as the senior advisor on HR topics for the region (50%)
  • Provide expertise and oversight on key HR topics, involving local HRDs/HRMs to lead specific initiatives as needed
  • Compensation and benefits – provide guidance to local functions and embed best practices from global Centre of Excellence into local processes
  • Employee risk management, including taking a lead role in handling sensitive employee situations in partnership with global/local HR
  • Safety and security, including COVID management
  • Business function headcount planning, promotions
  • Process / systems enhancement to improve employee value proposition
  • Champion shared services hub in Kuala Lumpur – ensure successful expansion (design and execution) working in collaboration with Head of KL Services Centre
  • Serve as liaison between global / regional / local stakeholders – collaborate closely with local HR managers to facilitate experience sharing, timely information flow, local input into global projects
  • Lead the HR Functional Excellence transformation program for APAC (50%)
  • Provide thought partnership on detailed design for APAC, working with the global team and with Global Business Services
  • Policy harmonization
  • Process redesign
  • Operating model, org structure, governance
  • Lead implementation and change management for APAC
  • Local office engagement, with local market adaptions where relevant
  • Senior stakeholder management and broader communications
  • Shared services build-out
  • Measurement and feedback loop to drive continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU:

  • At least 15 years’ experience as an HR executive, preferably in professional services 
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor across levels in the organization
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, showing initiative to value-add in ambiguity 
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to the nuances across our markets in APAC
  • Ability to build strong relationships regionally and globally
  • Ability to effectively team globally and regionally, including flexibility in adjusting priorities and work hours/availability to meet team and customer needs; 15-20% travel
  • Track record of strong team advocacy, coaching, and senior stakeholder management 
  • Demonstrated strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • High levels of discretion to appropriately manage highly confidential and sensitive data and information
