Jan Schmidt

Jan Schmidt is a member of our Private Equity and Advanced Manufacturing & Services practices. He primarily advises clients on due diligences and strategy projects.

Jan is particularly passionate about supporting clients on strategic growth opportunities, including customer excellence, new customer segments & markets as well as navigating macro uncertainties from geo-politics to climate change.

He enjoys building deep connections with colleagues and clients from all backgrounds. Since joining Bain in 2016 as part of the firm's Dusseldorf office, Jan has also worked in our Melbourne, Tokyo, and Boston offices.

Jan has a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering and an M.Sc. in international business and economics. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking in the mountains of New England, skiing, and eating and cooking good food.
