Scholars say recovery of global economy has a long way to go

Weekly Biz asked 20 of the world's best-known economists about secular stagnation, including Bob Bechek, worldwide managing director of Bain & Company. Bechek had an optimistic view about the global economy's recovery, saying, "The Great Recession was unusual in its synchronization. Normally we see differing levels and cycles of economic growth in different areas of the world, and that more normal state is what we are seeing now. China's slowing growth will offset by the U.S." But, he added that "Europe will continue to struggle."
