Waymo, Cruise and Uber plan to launch commercial services with autonomous vehicles on a controlled basis in 2019. Large-scale driverless services are further off, but investors are betting the shift will come sooner rather than later. The market capitalization of the next generation of mobility companies such as Waymo, Uber and Tesla already have surpassed those of Ford and General Motors.
