More than 9 billion people could be fed with the amount of food produced today, yet production strains the environment, hunger and poverty still prevail, much of the food produced is not healthy, and the security of future food supplies is in question. But, as consumers increasingly demand healthier foods produced in more sustainable ways, companies have ample incentive to focus their efforts on better approaches.
