Marcos Rutigliano is the Leader of South America’s Pulp & Paper Practice. He joined Bain South America in 2009.
His experience spans over a variety of energy and natural resources sectors – agribusiness (aquaculture, poultry, pork, grains, sugar, fertilizers), pulp & paper, mining (copper, coal, gold, niobium, tantalum), cement & ready-mix concrete, and energy (traditional and renewable sources).
He is also deep in the entire food and beverages value chain: besides his agribusiness experience, Marcos has expertise in consumer goods and retail, where he spent 5 years of his career prior to joining Bain.
In these sectors, Marcos has led a series of engagements on strategy, performance improvement, due diligence, post-merger integration, organization redesign and full potential transformation.
At Bain, Marcos has conducted projects in multiple geographies, including Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Australia and Japan.
He holds a master's degree in finance from London Business School (UK) and an undergraduate degree in computer engineering from ITA (Brazil).
He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
