Dan Kuzmic is an expert in Bain's Private Equity and Technology, Media and Telecommunications practices.
Dan joined Bain in 1999 and worked in Bain's Chicago, Boston, New York, Amsterdam and Dallas offices before relocating to Scandinavia in 2017.
Dan has focused extensively on private equity investment models and due diligence with a special emphasis on value creation within a fund's portfolio companies. He has significant experience in supporting the selling of PE holdings. He has also designed and launched investment strategies and organizations for family portfolios in Europe and Latin America.
In addition to private equity, Dan has more than 15 years of experience working with telecommunications, media and technology companies. He has advised on topics such as network evolution, customer strategy and loyalty, and digital business models for world-wide telecom service providers, music publishers and chip manufacturers. He has differentially focused on commercial excellence topics with these clients.
Dan has led major projects in Bain's pro-bono investments including an operational redesign of a city's Department of Education school system.
Prior to Bain, Dan was a Captain in the US Air Force, graduating as an officer from the United States Air Force Academy. He earned his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago.
