Carlos Libera is a Partner in Bain's São Paulo office. He joined the firm in 2011 and has over 20 years of professional experience.
Carlos has advised the top management of large national and multinational organizations across industries and regions, including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Asia.
Carlos Libera leads the Automotive & Mobility and Construction & Building Products practices and member of Energy & Natural Resources practices.
His engagements have addressed strategy, business model transformation, pricing and incentives with machine learning, retail chain expansion, organization restructuring, cost reduction and optimization, private label strategy, supply chain network optimization, S&OP, JV structuring, go-to-market and adjacency strategy, performance improvement and turnover reduction.
Prior to joining the firm, he spent several years as an advisor for the State Housing Secretary and President of CDHU. He also worked in financial management at Brazilian Securities and as a partner-director of Dellpar Engenharia e Parcerias.
Carlos holds an MBA from INSEAD (Singapore and France) and an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil). He also studied at the University of Queensland (Australia), has completed courses in restructuring and M&A at Harvard Business School and completed the international housing finance program at Wharton Business School.
He is fluent in Portuguese and English, has advanced capability in Spanish and also has basic knowledge of French.
