WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing accounting team at a world class management consulting firm. The successful candidate performs standard accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and posting. They gather financial and operating data and assist in preparing reconciliations, management reports and financial statements. Additionally, the candidate will be equally responsible for assisting in various projects that relate to data flow from our various systems and how they communicate with our ERP. Candidate will work with local finance teams as well as other key stakeholders in adjusting how information flows through various systems and is ultimately posted to the ledger so as to ensure best in class financials.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

You will, under general supervision, perform standard accounting tasks to support timely and accurate bookkeeping for a given office or region. Complete tasks such as general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting close checklist items. Gather financial and operating data and assist in the preparation of reports and financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Principal Accountabilities 

  • You will prepare general ledger journal entries in the normal course of business and in support of the month-end accounting close process (30%)
  • You will complete monthly checklist tasks as assigned (30%)
  • You will reconcile various general ledger accounts (30%)
  • You will ensure compliance with internal controls (5%)
  • You will constantly maintain documentation of policies/procedures and make recommendations for process improvements (5%) 

ABOUT YOU 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required and knowledge of standard accounting principles, methods, and applications. Typically, anywhere from 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is required for this level. 

  • Ability to effectively communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood. 
  • Ability to set up and maintain financial accounts and ledgers. 
  • Excellent written communication skills (in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio). 
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
  • Ability to understand concepts and data flows while offering opinions and ideas for improvement.
  • Ability to learn financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Investran/FIS).
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Capable of working multiple projects independently and as a team.
  • An ethical individual that acts with high levels of integrity at all times.

*MUST be willing to come into the office at least two (2) to three (3) days a week for this hybrid role.
