Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join our team, focusing on Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) technologies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in scaled virtual systems and security technologies and be capable of maintaining and enhancing our application security posture through proactive operational management, effective communication, and continuous learning. 

Responsibilities: 

Systems and Security Technologies Operations and Maintenance (80%) 

- Operational Expertise: Collaborate with senior TSG staff to maintain core business security technologies and their associated integrations, and work to enhance scale through secure automation. 

- Capability Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving existing capabilities and communicate process and product implementation plans effectively. 

- Operational Integrity: Maintain the operational integrity of CNAPP and related tool sets and process, ensuring configurations are up to date and optimized, and escalating issues appropriately. 

- Risk and Threat Analysis: Provide thorough analysis of risks and threats, suggesting and implementing potential remediations. 

Communications, Leadership, and Teaming (20%) 

- Business Understanding: Gather and incorporate an understanding of business-relevant factors impacted by security toolsets. 

- Security Advocacy: Promote security awareness among relevant stakeholders and best practices throughout the organization. 

- Communications: Draft communications with accuracy and clarity for technical and business audiences as appropriate. 

- Collaboration: Engage in productive communication and relationship building with other security and software development teams. 

- Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with evolving risks and new security capabilities. 

- Support and Coverage: Provide support and coverage during peak times or staff absences, ensuring continuous protection and operational efficiency. 

Experience and Skills: 

- Information Security Technologies: Experience with a broad range of relevant security technologies including Firewalls, IPS, IDS, SIEM, WAF, etc 

- Cloud Security: Proficient in cloud deployments and relevant security architectures and frameworks. 

- Security Automation: Skilled in the automation of Information Security controls to alert and remediate as appropriate. 

- Threat Mitigation: Familiarity with common security threats and vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications: 

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. 

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Cloud+, AWS, Azure certifications or equivalent. 

- Proven experience in a similar role with a focus on Cloud security technologies. 

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
