At the 2017 Retail Outlook Seminar, Bain & Company partner Hewie Kang presented on how retailers and CPG providers can grow amid the industry's paradigm shift in the digital era.
"In the history of retail, changes triggered by digital are likely to become historical inflection points that change the game, not just temporary fads," he said. "To adapt to this evolution, which requires a change in business model, the relationship between retailers and CPG players also has to be adjusted based on information transparency."
