Even among listed companies, the working environments that they provide for women and their utilization of female workforce varied considerably by sector. The Chosun Ilbo categorized 1,228 listed companies into 26 industries and found that “services related to arts, sports and leisure,” “apparel/accessories and fur clothing manufacturing” and “publishing, video production, broadcasting/communication and information services” ranked the top.
