It is well known that the global population is projected to continue growing rapidly through 2050. This will, of course, demand a significant increase in the global supply of food in order to attend the additional demand, and much of this supply is expected come from Brazil. A recent study conducted by the American consulting firm Bain & Company provides calculations and projections that corroborate this expectation and point to the increasing Agricultural importance of Brazil and the Mercosul region in the decades to come.
