Oliver Williams

Oliver Williams is an expert partner in our Advanced Analytics practice, based in London.

He has more than 25 years of experience in analytics across banking, investment management, and financial technology. 

Oliver's career has focused on algorithmic trading systems, asset management, and derivatives trading and structuring. He most recently served as CTO and subsequently CIO of a UK mortgage lending fintech, where he led engineering and analytics teams and worked on proprietary credit scoring models.

He publishes regularly in journals and books on topics including statistics, quantitative investment, and machine learning. He has held various part-time teaching posts at the University of Cambridge and the University of London.

He holds a Ph.D in Financial Economics, MSc in Mathematics, and M.A. in Computer Science and Management Studies.  Oliver is also the co-inventor of a software patent in the field of social network analytics.
