Michael Heric is a senior partner and the global leader of our Corporate Support and Service Operations solutions in our Performance Improvement practice. He also leads Bain's global Automation capability and is a senior member of our Technology & Cloud Services practice. 

Michael advises leading companies across industries on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of support functions, including finance and human resources. His areas of expertise span demand management, process redesign, organizational design, digital enablement and automation, global business services, shared services, outsourcing, and offshoring.

As the global lead for our Automation capability, part of our Vector digital delivery platform, Michael helps clients unlock value faster through a range of technologies—including rules-based automation, AI-augmented automation, generative AI, and agentic AI. He also works extensively across the technology ecosystem, supporting hardware, software, and services providers on strategy, M&A, and operational improvement.

Michael holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He earned dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania—a BS in economics from the Wharton School and a BA in international relations, both with distinction. He serves on the advisory board for the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
