Henrik Östhed

Henrik Östhed is a member of our Enterprise Technology and Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) practices. Henrik has more than 20 years of consulting experience and is a trusted adviser and partner to clients.

Henrik's core areas of expertise include decoding technology disruption, leveraging technology and digital to enable growth and innovation, tech strategy, large-scale business and IT transformation, technology in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and tech- and IT-enabled operating model transformation.

Henrik has also worked with senior clients in industries including telecommunications, networking, computing, software and services and manufacturing. This work includes software, systems, platforms and manufacturing within PC, data center, cloud, high-performance computing and networking environments.

Henrik has particular depth in helping clients orchestrate company-wide business and technology transformations to their next stage of value creation, including value creation planning, strategy, organization, IT and talent.

Prior to joining Bain in 2017, Henrik served as a partner and managing director for another management consulting firm, broadening his global experience through positions based in Stockholm, Hong Kong and San Francisco.

He holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics, as well as a master's degree in manufacturing management from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations from Brigham Young University.

He is fluent in both Swedish and English and has full professional command of Danish and Norwegian.
