About Rachel

Share your journey to Bain.

I joined Bain to join a results oriented, collaborative organization.

I earned a B.S. in Statistics and a M.S. in Analytics. In my master’s program, I worked alongside three of my peers to deliver strategic recommendations to an organization as part of a practicum project. After that experience, I wanted to join a team that was focused on driving strategic insights with data, while fostering an atmosphere of teaming and learning. I found that in our Advanced Analytics Group.

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

The opportunity to work on multidimensional, high-performance teams was one of the most exciting things to me about Bain. Throughout my interview process, I heard about how analytics team members were working alongside colleagues with different expertise. I wanted to join company where I could grow in my analytics knowledge while also gaining exposure to other skillsets. I was also struck by the amount that Bain invested in professional development. Since joining, I have enjoyed attending multiple trainings and conferences with other Bain colleagues.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

Absolutely. I find it exciting to contribute to cross-functional teams, and to deliver results that are impactful to our clients. We leverage the best across various domains of expertise: including business acumen, data science, machine learning, applications engineering, and design to build powerful solutions. It has been exciting to work across different techniques including Generative AI, demand forecasting, and marketing analytics.

“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”

The aspects that come to mind when I think about how I’ve “Built My Own Bain” include professional development, broader Bain and office engagement, and my Bain network.

I am tailoring my professional development experience by working with our staffing team and colleagues on cases to gain expertise in different analytics domains and expand my broader skillset. Becoming further engaged in the Bain community outside of casework has also enriched my career experience. I have become involved with several social impact efforts, recruiting efforts, and other efforts on our analytics team, which has allowed me to meet new people and expand my skills. Further, my career at Bain has been enriched by my colleagues - I am thankful to have met so many wonderful colleagues during my time at Bain.

Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.

My favorite work projects are those where I've built out solutions alongside clients. I find it rewarding to collaborate with various team members and customize solutions that will drive value for businesses. As we design these solutions, we prototype rapidly. We have opportunities to iterate and receive feedback to ensure that we create the best solution for the business. That process is incredibly rewarding.
