Biografie Chuck

Chuck Whitten is a senior partner and the Global Head of Bain’s digital capabilities including Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Technology, Advanced Analytics, and digital Innovation & Design.  He was previously the Co-Chief Operating Officer of Dell Technologies.

Over his two decades at Bain, Chuck has supported hundreds of clients across the globe on strategy, company transformation, M&A, and operational improvement. As the head of the firm's digital practices, he leads a global team of over 1500 technology experts and helps clients navigate technology disruption and create competitive advantage through digital and AI transformation.  

Previously, Chuck served as the managing partner of Bain Southwest, was a two-time elected member of Bain’s Board of Directors, and chaired the Board’s Strategy Committee. Under his leadership, Bain Southwest more than doubled in size, consistently ranked as a top region for employee satisfaction, and was recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of Texas' best workplaces in 2020 and 2021.

Chuck rejoined Bain in 2024 from Dell Technologies, where he directed the company’s primary business units – the Infrastructure Solutions Group and the Client Solutions Group – and oversaw Global Operations, Dell Digital (IT), and Dell Global Services. He was also responsible for setting company strategy including the evaluation of emerging technology areas such as AI, Cloud, Edge, and Telecommunications. During Chuck’s leadership, the company delivered record revenue, record profitability, and was recognized by Newsweek as America’s Best Loved Workplace.

Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics and history from Rice University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a George F. Baker Scholar.
