According to the consultancy Bain & Company, the luxury goods market will slow down due to decrease in Chinese domestic consumer spending as consumers wait for the imminent change of government in Beijing. After having experienced a growth of 30% and 35% in the past two years, the market of Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) is projected to grow 18%.
