THE ROLE
The Associate, Travel & Expense is responsible for processing expense submissions and ensuring compliance with company policies. They will support the team by delivering accurate and timely assignments and contributing to overall team results.
- Review employee expense reports for reasonableness and consistency with firm policy, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to address workflow volume challenges and provide suggestions for rebalancing
- Identify and report unusual trends or nonstandard items requiring policy clarification or additional approvals
- Perform recurring audit steps as required by department procedures and controls, providing excellent customer service
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues, and responding to inquiries from approvers
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of Travel & Expense principles and practices
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset to contribute to team goals and deliver quality results
Requirements:
- 2-4+Associate's/Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese
- Experience in Travel & Expense or a related financial role within an organization
- Proficiency in processing invoices, payments, and financial transactions
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools (Outlook, Microsoft suite, MS Teams, Zoom)
- Ability to apply accounting principles and practices to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
