WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Global Alumni Network is a global, collaborative team of individuals who are responsible for building lifelong relationships with members of the Bain Alumni Community. The team members serve as experts in alumni engagement, delivering programming and resources globally and facilitating regional, local, industry and capability-based alumni engagement. This includes digital and virtual events along with virtual engagement via the BeyondBain platform.  

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM 

The knowledge and events team are responsible for all Global alumni events (virtual and in-person) along with delivering Bain’s lifelong learning program. Over-arching these activities is delivering best-in-class alumni experiences to build lifelong promoters.  

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute virtual events on a global scale, ensuring seamless and engaging experiences for participants, with support from Director – 50%
    1. Work with local offices to manage logistics for strategic in-person events 
    2. Collaborate with Practices and E2 teams to define event objectives, themes, and content that align with overall business goals
    3. Manage registration and marketing process (invites and reminders) - ensure all communications with alumni are GDPR compliant 
    4. Conduct post-event evaluations to measure the success of each event against established goals
  • Conduct research and stay informed on new learning and event trends to suggest improvements – 10%
  • Support on engaging with EMEA local offices to build on alumni strategy – 10%
  • Maintain comprehensive event summaries and playbooks, with oversight from Director, that include timelines, budgets, and logistics tracking- 10%
  • Incorporate A.I and use of CTKA into programming through data analytics automation of tasks – 10%
  • Maintain accurate records across knowledge and events teamlet, sharing data to support the alumni engagement dashboard – 5%
  • Ensure relevant BeyondBain pages are accurate and updated in a timely manner – 5%

 

ABOUT YOU

Required 

  • BA or equivalent undergraduate degree required with strong academic credentials
  • 2 years of professional event management experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels 
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of stakeholder relationship and customer service skills 
  • Ability to maintain a structured working style in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Approachable, collaborative working style with ability to work within a global team

Highly Preferred

  • Degree in marketing or event management
  • 2 years of alumni event management experience
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
