The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
Who you will work with
This position is based in the BCN’s Gurgaon office and is an integral part of the Performance Improvement Centre of Expertise (PI CoE). PI CoE helps Bain case teams in India and abroad on multiple cost reduction/optimization activities through a suite of solutions ranging from Procurement (Spend cube, analytics, maturity assessment, vendor strategy etc.), Supply Chain (Inventory Optimization, Network Optimization, Manufacturing Diagnostics, Integrated Business Planning etc.) to cost diagnostics (Net Working Capital, Value Calculator etc.), savings and PMI Analysis.
The CoE undertakes complex and advanced data analysis to analyze client’s data and then generates critical insights to help achieve the cost objective. Over time we have built seamless solutions and use powerful, dynamic visualizations/charts on multiple platforms (Power BI, Tableau) to showcase our results. PI CoE is also involved in generation of critical IP useful for new performance improvement cases globally at Bain.
What you’ll do
Project Leader leads a team of 3-4 team members of Analysts and Associates on problem solving, work-planning, analytics, research, and overall content to produce client ready materials and generate business insights and implications. You will also be required to work hands-on on a project and be in control of the answers end-to-end. The position reports into a Manager/Sr. Manager
- Own end to end delivery of projects. This includes the following:
- Showcasing domain expertise on supply chain topics
- Assist case teams across Bain’s ecosystem to analyze the problem and deploy the most appropriate tool/solution
- Understand client’s data using P&L, ERP Systems, strategic reports, purchase order systems to design the solution
- Review and provide guidance to the team on the ongoing cases; monitor and balance workloads
- Utilize appropriate analytical tools to identify and employ relevant data-driven insights for effective decision-making
- Ensure timely and high-quality output/analysis produced by the junior team members; conduct reality checks on the answers before communicating to the client
- Communicate data, knowledge, and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team
- Effectively communicate with BCN leadership/case teams/end clients and manage relationships
- Engage with Practice leadership on evolving IP/existing products; and ideate in developing new products/IP
- Provide thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive cases across geographies and industries
- Provide feedback towards constant improvement and recognize team’s development needs
About you
- Candidate should be a graduate/post-graduate with strong academic records and relevant experience in working capital analytics or cash flow management field.
- Outstanding domain in key areas impacting working capital such as receivables/payables optimization, inventory management & cash conversion cycles is required. Should be familiar with ‘Order to Cash’ and ‘Procure to Pay’ processes
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 5-8 years of relevant experience (>50% experience in consulting is preferred)
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies – 3-6 years of relevant experience (>50% experience in consulting is preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), team management and project management skills
- Hands-on on various analytical and reporting / visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and PowerBI
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, handle multiple tasks and dynamic case expectations
- Effective coaching and mentoring skills
