WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Senior Specialist, Global Benefits will focus on excellence in delivering our global benefits program offerings. This person will support day to day operations and administration of global benefits programs, including specialized benefits for our senior leadership. Role will provide high touch employee service for Partners and other senior leadership across the world, delivered in English, and streamlined administration activities. Role will participate in global benefits projects, initiatives, and programs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support benefits operations for health plans, executive physicals, life, disability, accident, retirement, perquisites, and leaves.
Provide day to day program administration (60%) within a U.S. and global context:
- Manage eligibility and enrollment actions for global health plan, retiree global health plan, executive health physicals, health advisory services, individual life insurance policies, group life, group accident, group long term disability, group supplemental long-term disability for a global Senior Leadership population.
- Process benefits changes for qualifying life events, terminations, leaves of absence, or other benefit changes relating to job or global office transfers.
- Execute time sensitive benefits data changes in WorkDay and external vendor administration systems.
- Own internal tracking of necessary benefits administrative actions or changes, including records retention of communications and required notifications.
- Manage external vendor invoicing and internal monthly billing allocation to global offices.
- Manage open enrollment activities for global programs including communications, eligibility files, updating rates, systems configuration, etc.
- Support compliance and reporting requirements associated with global benefits programs such as 5500 Schedule A or Middle East Emirates data reporting.
- Support claims and financial reporting and analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Create and provide ad hoc reports for other business purposes, such as headcounts, premiums, take-up rates, etc.
- Document and enhance standard operating procedures by introducing simplification, technology, and automation.
Provide exceptional customer experience in English (30%) to global employees and senior leadership:
- Create, provide, and improve benefits and policy communications on eligibility and enrollment actions.
- Join calls with employees, Senior Leadership, HR, Finance, etc. to address any benefits operational topics or concerns.
- Answer frequently asked questions and manage any escalations with internal Leadership and external vendors to bring to a resolution.
- Create and maintain SharePoint sites to share information with employees, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Act as central hub of coordination between employees and benefits vendors when issues arise.
- Explore and apply ways to enhance the customer experience.
Support projects such as program summaries, program benchmarking, plan enhancements, operational improvements, communications, delivery, etc. (10%)
ABOUT YOU
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong English language competencies, both in oral and written communications, within a professional business setting.
- Knowledge of United States health plans, retirement, life, disability, accident benefits, perquisites benefit programs.
- Demonstrated skills in process management, HRIS and/or administration systems, detail-orientation, and organization; ability to appropriately handle highly confidential information.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and geographies and establish trusted relationships with local offices and Leadership.
Experience
- Experience in plan administration, insurance, HRIS and/or administrative systems, and customer service.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; use of Workday a plus.
- 4+ years of experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
