Social impact

Bain Atlanta's associate consultants (ACs), consultants and administrative staff drive our involvement with Bain Social Impact, a global program within the office that organizes fundraising efforts, volunteer activities and other events to help the office support our community.

One of our largest events is an annual Charity Auction that raises money for local organizations. In addition, we organize small team community service activities, as well as an annual volunteer day for the entire office in the community. Associate consultants in Atlanta also started a local chapter of Inspire, Inc. to provide pro-bono consulting to local non-profits.

Charity Auction

The Annual Bain Atlanta Charity Auction

Bain Atlanta pulls out all of the stops for our annual Charity Auction. In our most recent auction, Bain Atlanta raised well over $40,000 to support local charities. Charities we have supported include The Shepherd Center, The Global Village Project and KIPP Metro Atlanta.

This auction is one of our most anticipated events every year — highly sought-after internal and external donations bring out everyone's competitive and generous spirits!

Community Impact Day

Atlanta Community Impact Day

One Friday each year, the Atlanta office closes its doors so that all employees can devote their days to service for the Atlanta Community Impact Day. We break into small teams and head out to multiple community partner sites to do service. Our Community Impact Day is not only a great opportunity to give back to our community for a day, but also a time of team-building among Atlanta employees.

Past service opportunities have included working at MedShare, an organization that takes surplus medical supplies and ships them to medical clinics around the world that are in need of supplies. multiple outdoor clean-up projects through Trees Atlanta and in Piedmont Park, and cooking and serving meals at Atlanta area shelters.

Inspire, Inc.

In 2012, Bain Atlanta joined Inspire, Inc., a national network of pre-MBA associates at consulting firms who provide pro-bono consulting to local non-profits.

Bain Atlanta's local Inspire chapter has primarily worked with education and youth-related charities, providing business insights across a range of topics such as donor engagement, sustainable funding models and more. Past projects have included Big Brothers Big Sisters, Georgia Organics and Shepherd Center.

The cases are led entirely by ACs, providing an incredible opportunity for first-year associates to get to know their peers around the office, while using tools developed at Bain to impact the philanthropic work taking place in our community.
