Hi, my name is Tevia. I'm a Principal in the New York office and I joined Bain in 2009. At Bain, I focus primarily on financial services, specifically customer experience work and growth strategy.

One of my favorite cases of all time was working with a retailer, trying to assess what the growth strategy of that portfolio company should be. We got to visit a lot of cool retail stores, assess what their products should look like, look into the specifics such as color, textures, etc.; things I had never been exposed to. I also worked with an art auction house, doing some financial services strategies - all exciting stuff. Now, I focus more on customer experience work, and the impact that we're able to have on both the client and the customer, and how they engage with their company is fantastic.

As a Latino woman at Bain, it has been really important to me to have groups that I can rely on for my professional development. We have the Latinos at Bain group, where I get to interact and learn from my peers both in the New York office and throughout all of Bain. There is also Women at Bain, where we spend a lot of time thinking through topics such as: overcoming barriers, leveraging each of our experiences to actually make this job sustainable, and having a successful career both at Bain, and beyond Bain.
