"When we think about culture change in a merger or acquisition, the single biggest thing we need to understand is what drives value in the deal," said Atul Aggarwal, a partner with Bain & Company. "Based on what drives value in the deal, you can figure out A, whether culture change is necessary, and B, the timing of that culture change."
