Sarah Dey Burton is the global practice area director of Bain’s Customer Strategy & Marketing practice and she is based in San Francisco.
Sarah began her career at Bain as an associate consultant and senior associate consultant in the Toronto and Sydney offices. During that period, she worked closely with clients in airlines, financial services, telecommunications and fast-moving consumer products.
Sarah continued her career at a major global retailer where she built extensive expertise operations and communications, consumer insights, marketing and corporate strategy through a number of different roles, including: special assistant and strategic advisor to the president of the global brand, marketing brand manager and director of international brand strategy and business development. Sarah also worked with the retailer's global foundation to develop their strategy and branding.
Sarah rejoined Bain in 2008 and now oversees the Customer Strategy & Marketing practice’s relationships, client work and operations. She also plays a critical role in building Bain's customer-focused intellectual property and regularly contributes to the practice’s knowledge base and published materials.
Sarah graduated from the University of London, London School of Economics with a Master’s of Science and holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Sarah completed both of her degrees with distinction.
