Dan Haas is a partner in Bain & Company's Boston office. He is a founder of Bain's Private Equity group and the leader of Bain's Americas Private Equity practice. He is also an expert in the firm's Consumer Products and Retail practices.
Dan advises private equity clients on fund strategy, strategic due diligence and portfolio improvement programs. He has led hundreds of teams in M&A, leveraged buyout, performance acceleration, restructuring and exit and sell-side assignments. He also works with leading limited partners, including large family offices, asset managers and sovereign wealth funds on a range of strategy, operations and organizational issues.
Dan joined Bain & Company in 1987 and became a partner in 1998. He also served four years on the firm's Board of Directors. Currently, Dan sits on Bain's Global Nominating Committee, as well as Bain's Investment Committee.
He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and received Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and history from Brown University.
